2013 March Shoe Haul

Many of you may think I'm crazy, but I bought 6 pairs of heels this month.  Crazy!  I kno ^ ^  There were just so many good deals that were too good to pass up.  Let's get started!

These are a pair of blush pink heels.  I've bought lots of pastel skinny jeans this month, and these shoes seem to be just perfect.  The heel is pretty short, but it's a great height for shopping.  I love the small scallop detail on the side of the shoe.  I got these at TJ Max

Brand: Bandolino
Model: Unknown
Price: $25

Love these black pumps.  The cut is very flattering.  The heel is roughly 3' 1/4" (8.26 cm).  It's a very comfortable height even though there's no platform.  Every girl has to have a pair of classic black pumps.  Got them at an Ann Taylor outlet.

Brand: Ann Taylor
Model: Signature Pumps
Price: $34
Original Price: $155

These shoes are one of the higher heels that I bought this month.  Love the rose gold lining.  The zipper in the back does make it a lot easier to slip in and out of.  The material is made out of black suede so it will need more care.  I usually wear a size 8 and I actually had to get a size 7.5, so it does run a bit small.  Once again, it's a very nice sut.  The heel measures 4.5" and the platform measures 1.25".  I got these at a BCBG Max Azria Outlet.

Brand: BCBG Generation
Model: Helara
Price: $49
Original Price: $108

These pinky nude suede pumps really extends your legs.  You most likely wouldn't be able to wear these shoes for long distances.  Love the stud embellishments in the front.  It's fairly comfortable considering its height.  The heel is 5 1/4" and the platform is 1".  Got these at Macy's.

Brand: Rachel Roy
Model: Lenaya
Price $22
Original Price: $120

My strappy black Vera Wang heels were about to crumble, so I was on the lookout for a new pair of black strappy heels.  I absolutely love these heels.  They are extremely comfortable!  Call me crazy but I'm pretty sure I could shop for about 6 hours in these heels ^ ^ The cut is extremely flattering.  Love the gold platform and the black embellishments on the T-strap.  The heel is 5" and the platform is 1 1/4".  Got these at Macy's.

Brand: Falchi
Model: Natalie Dress Sandals
Price: $29.65
Original Price: $99

One could always find cute affordable shoes at the clearance section of Kohl's.  These gorgeous black suede knee high boots were the best deal I got this month.  It has a almond toe, a sequin stripe on the side, and a zipper closure.  Its very comfortable and suede just hugs your calves ^ ^
The heel is 5" and the platform is 1 1/4"

Brand: Jennifer Lopez
Model: Malina
Price: $8.45
Original Price: $120

Rosy Spring Nails

After watching bubzbeauty's floral nail tutorial, I decided to try it out myself.  For someone with a shaky left hand, both hands turned out well with this design.  It has a bit of a impressionistic flare since you don't have to be neat or precise.  From far away, they look like real roses ^^ Floral pants were a hot item last spring/summer, and I think they will continue to be a hot item this year as well.  Don't these nails remind you of those floral pants?  All in all, I think these nails will be able to match most spring/summer outfits.

Close ups

Even beginners can do this nail design ^ ^

February 2013 Haul

What I got at Ann Taylor:

I got two basic shirts from Ann Taylor.  The first one is maroon and the second one is white.  Both have long sleeves, and a scoop neck collar.  The maroon shirt has a looser fitting.  Both are great basic pieces to add to your wardrobe.  They are great for layering and balancing out all those printed/patterned scarves you have in your closet.

Prices
Maroon Top: $9.09
White Top: $9.09

I bought most of my clothes at H&M this month:

I got was 2 blazers.  I loved the black blazer so much that I just had to get the pink one too.  They are made with great material.  What surprise me the most was the fitting.  Most reasonably priced blazers that you find in H&M or Forever 21 are loose fitted blazers.  For $20, the blazer were fitted like the $60 blazers in H&M.  I love the small pleating details on the front pockets.  There's are slight shoulder pads to make it more structured.  You can definitely roll up the sleeves for a more casual look as well.

Price: $20 each

This black sleek pencil skirt is made with great material and just hugs your body.  The gold zipper in the back is also a great accent.  I believe every girl need a black pencil skirt because its perfect for formal occasions, interviews, etc.

Price: $17.95

The next item I got was a pinky coral and grey faux leather clutch.  This color combo will match many spring and summer outfits and the size is also pretty good.  It does come with a thin silver chain, but I think it just makes the clutch look cheap.  I do plan on stopping by my local craft store and finding a better quality chain than the one it comes with.  I do love the black tassel, but the side zipper opening is a bit bothersome.  At least I know I'm not gonna be pick-pocketed with this clutch.  The other thing that bothers me is that there's no compartments on the inside.  Overall, I still love this clutch.

Price: $17.95

The last item I got from H&M was a white faux leather satchel.  I'm the type of person to carry a lot of things around often so I needed a bit spring/summer bag.  I love the simplicity and the large space of the bag.  There's 2 gold plates on the corners of the bag.  There's also 3 compartments in the bag for easy access.  You know how some bags change shape due to the weight of the objects inside?  (Meaning they end up looking not so great ^^) Well this bag looks the best when there's more objects inside the bag, so it's perfect for people that tend to carry a lot around!

Price: $29.95

Smashbox Pout

In many Korean photoshoots or MVs, the girls often wear baby pink lipstick. It's very difficult to find that shade of baby pink that will match with my Asian skin tone. Often times the lipstick wouldn't be bright enough or that it wasn't pigmented enough.

The Smashbox Pout is the closest I've found. It's a really bright baby pink, and it applies very smoothly. The color is buildable, and it has a glossy finish. When I visit Korea this summer, I definitely plan on stocking up on Korean makeup^^

☆ Stila Kajal Eyeliner Topaz ☆

Left: Topaz alone
Right: Mix of Yeyo and Topaz
I just love this color, it's an apricot nude. It applies very smoothly. The only problem I have with this is that it's a matte finish, I wished it was either metallic or shimmer finish. I would applies this on top of my Urban Decay 24/7 glide on eye pencil in Yeyo to get that shimmery pink Effect. Stila's Topaz eyeliner is a great product to add to your makeup collection.

Price: $18.00

♡ Kang Min Hee's It's You Lipstick ♡

Ever since watching the Kang Min Hee's It's you MV, I've been searching for the lip color she wore in the video. It's a bright orange with a coral undertone.

After a long search, I found a lipstick that was the closest to the one I was looking for. It's the Sephora Rouge Shine Latin Lover No. 29. The only thing I have to complain about this lipstick is that it's very dry, it does not apply as smoothly as I hoped. You probably would have to put some lip balm on first before the application. But I absolutely love this bold color, it's perfect for spring^^

Putting that aside, please check out the MV, it's a great song!

❤ My Puppy Joon ❤

As I was going through photos on my laptop, I realized just how big my baby has gotten.  My puppy is a maltese, and my brother and I named him after the only Korean name that's simple and that we could both agree onJoon.  The picture above is the first day we brought him home (July 2nd, 2012).  He was almost 8 weeks old.  He was always napping the first 2 days and was constantly making a mess around the house.  Luckily, I managed to potty train him in about 5 days! What a smart puppy ^ ^ I've heard of many stories of dogs not being able to be potty trained until a couple months later! He's still as playful as ever.  For some odd reason, my family wants to try and make him quadrilingual (◕_◕)

I just can't believe he's almost 9 months old now. He has grown so much ^ ^

★ Sistar19 Gone Not Around Any Longer MV ★

Not only is this a good song, so are the outfits!  I'm in love with the accessories that Hyorin and Bora sport, especially the belts.  The belts really accentuate the hip dance moves in this song.  I never realized how well statement belts like these can go so well with shorts.  Before I would only use skinny belts just to add a bit of color to my shorts in the spring and the summer, now I'm tempted to try this ^ ^  Bold necklaces are always great with solid colors~

♥ ALDO Ullum Handbag ♥

I've been looking for a fall purse for a while now, but I was always either indecisive or too picky, so in the end I would never buy the  product.  As I was surfing online as usual the other day, I found this purse on the ALDO website.  This is ALDO's Ullum handbag in the color taupe.  When I saw the picture online, I was expecting more of a grayish purple taupe, but it turned out to be more of a brown taupe, which was totally okay because that was a great fall color as well.  I must say that I absolutely love this purse.  It has a very large storage space, and the material feels very sturdy.  It's also made of good quality.

As you can see, the middle compartment has a snap closure with 3 easy access smaller compartments for  a cell phone, keys, or even a lip gloss.  One of the many things I love about this purse is that there's 2 more large compartment with a zip closure.  For a person that always has a lot in her purse, this is perfect to stay organized.

The width of this purse can also be readjusted if you unsnap the leather at the top.  The handles on the purse is long enough to wear it on your shoulders.  The only thing I wish it had were metal studs on the bottom of the purse, so that the bottom wouldn't be so worn in the future.

Length: 15" or 30.1 cm
Width: 8" or 28.3 cm
Depth: 11" or 27.9 cm

Price: $60.00
*You will receive a 10% discount if you sign up for ALDO emails*
